Please review our VOS CloudLink prerequisites pages prior to following the instructions on this page:

After you have downloaded the CloudLink OVA VM image, set up the application to contribute live feeds from your broadcast headend to VOS 360 or VOS Cloud.

Open VM VirtualBox Manager

From the VM VirtualBox Manager menu, select File > Import Appliance... to import the downloaded CloudLink OVA VM image.

Browse to and select the file to import: vos-uplink-vm.ova

Click Next, then click Import to import the CloudLink OVA VM image.

Default Settings:
  • CPU and RAM - allows the minimum required for a functional CloudLink, which is 7 channels at up to 10 Mb each. Each additional channel requires 0.4 vCores and 0.3 GB of memory.
  • Network - enable 2 network interfaces, in the case you only use a single interface, change the parameters on the Network tab.
  • Network Configuration - specify that both interfaces require DHCP server for IP allocation - make sure DHCP is available on all CloudLink interfaces.

From VirtualBox Manager, select CloudLink VM, then click Start
Starting the CloudLink takes about 2-5 minutes depends on the host capabilities

Once the CloudLink successfully establish a secure connection to our VOS Hub (over the internet), it will prompt for username and password.

On the CloudLink terminal screen, type in your VOS Cloud/360 Admin username and password you received in the email, then Log in.

Only VOS Cloud/360 Super Users users can add CloudLinks.

On a successful log-in, the CloudLink will present its terminal monitoring screen, indicating the IPs it is using and the VOS Cloud/360 runtime environment it is connect to.

This is the only setup or configuration required on the CloudLink itself, the rest of the activities are performed on the VOS Cloud/360 app / Web interface.

After a successful CloudLink registration and user login, VOS Cloud/360 opens with the new CloudLink appearing as a "1" in the CloudLinks section on the Lineups tab, indicating that a new CloudLink was registered to the environment.

Register the new CloudLink

On the Lineups tab, decide whether to configure the CloudLink as a Single, or to pair it with an existing CloudLink to create a 1:1 redundancy (Register / Pair).

When you register the CloudLink , you can change its name.

You're Done!

Click the + Channels button to add and configure channels for the CloudLink .
