Time-shift
There are two main types of time-shift TV applications:
Start-over: A presentation of an on-going live event from a specified start time.
Catch-up: A presentation of a past live event in a specified period of time shortly after it has been finished within a retention period.

Start-over
The playback URL has two parameters:
  • serviceId: Service Id of the channel.
  • startTime: Start time of the start-over, which is an unsigned 64 bit integer representing the number of 100-nanosecond intervals elapsed since the Unix Epoch in UTC.

IMPORTANT:
  • Start Time < Current Time

Catch-up
The playback URL has three parameters:
  • serviceId: Service Id of the channel.
  • startTime: Start time of the catch-up, which is an unsigned 64 bit integer representing the number of 100-nanosecond intervals elapsed since the Unix Epoch in UTC.
  • endTime: End time of the catch-up, which is an unsigned 64 bit integer representing the number of 100-nanosecond intervals elapsed since the Unix Epoch in UTC.
IMPORTANT:
  • Start Time < Current Time
  • Start Time < End Time
  • End Time < Current Time - 2 minutes
  • End Time > Current Time - Retention
  • End Time - Start Time < 12 hours
