What does the profile numbering indicate?

Updates to the Harmonic version number (indicated at the top right corner of the profile) are at a decimal level (for example: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.). But whenever a new property or feature is added to the profile, the Harmonic version number is changed to the next whole version number (for example: 1.0 or 1.3 becomes 2.0).

How are streams handled in VOS?

A stream being processed can either be transcoded, or “passed through” to the output without processing. The video stream is always transcoded. Data streams can only be Passthrough.

What are the different editing modes in the IPTV profile and how can you enter/exit them?

When you have the IPTV profile open, clicking the Video section on the left displays the Video fields on the right. When editing the values of the fields on the right, you enter the manual mode. All fields are shown and can be edited. Click Parametric mode to return the profile to a state in which you can edit for instance the Audio section on the left.

How can you enter/exit the manual editing mode on the Multiscreen profile?

When you have the Multiscreen profile open, clicking on the Audio section on the left, results in the display to the Audio fields on the right for the different defined output profiles. When editing the values of the fields on the right, you enter the manual mode. All available output profiles with their fields show and can be edited. By clicking X in the right top corner of the fields, you return the profile to a state in which you can select for instance the Endpoints section on the left.
